revolution
i realized that while in italy
i did change in many ways, but there was a lot i lost
i lost the ability to look past the obvious disappointment
i gained the ability to be completed jaded
someone brought up a past experience we had
they asked what happened to that katie...and i thought
you know that katie is in italy still
she left that heart with trial and hardship
but why
i want to be like that again
free and loving and empathetic
i want to again be able to see what other people don't and APPRECIATE

two words
.....welcome...back....

expectations
denials
confusion
disappointments

it's surprisingly hard to come back to a place that was once home
than to move to a new home
why...people
people change they move on
i grew and changed and moved on
so what is the disconnect
oh yeah that's right i grew in  different country

strange and daunting
like joining a new group or school
everything feels different and i'm way more jaded

three more days
three more exams
then i will be in the alps throwing snowballs
i will be in the land of Christmas!
Zurich, Switzerland!

where they have a Christmas tree covered with crystal ornaments
in the train station
ice skating
the singing Christmas tree
the best chocolate in the world
oh man i can't even imagine it all yet!

then when i get back from the wonderful winter Christmas wonderland
i will be frantically packing...and
i will be on my way home!
H-O-M-E
and then it will be Christmas!
i can't wait...
